Peracute bovine mastitis caused by Klebsiella pneumoniae
Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Enterobacter aerogenes are recognized as the most common coliforms in bovine mastitis (Bannerman et al., 2003). Exposure of uninfected quarters to coliform pathogens occur primarily between milkings and, secondarily, during milking procedures and dry period. Coliform pathogens are essentially opportunistic. Their primary reservoir in transmission is ...

متن کاملCTX-M1 ESBL-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae subsp. pneumoniae isolated from cases of bovine mastitis.
Escherichia coli and Klebsiella spp., followed by Serratia spp. and Enterobacter spp., are the most frequent Gram-negative pathogens isolated from bovine clinical mastitis (8). The incidence of mastitis due to such bacteria has increased in recent years (7). Klebsiella is usually referred as particularly aggressive and prone to cause severe clinical mastitis, which responds poorly to treatment ...
متن کاملClinical bovine mastitis caused by Geotrichum candidum
Mastitis, which has multiple and complex aetiology, is a common syndrome among bovines and inflicts enormous losses on livestock owners. The mastitis cases are infectious in nature and are usually caused by bacteria, fungi/yeasts and some algae. An interesting case of protracted clinical mastitis in a Holstein-Fresian cow in its third lactation was encountered, with exclusive involvement of Geo...
